My philosophy is simple: provide the essential services the public demands at an
equally fair tax rate to all.
I feel this applies to all levels of government - local, state, and federal.
It is then a legislator's primary duty to examine with due diligence that your tax
dollars are being
spent
as efficiently and effectively as possible. This will give surety that Kansas is
providing the HIGHEST VALUE per dollar to the taxpayers.

120th District State Representative

Teamwork Under The Dome
Imagine putting together a sports team of all-stars, the best of the best, the ideal "dream team". No matter how great they are, there is always one team that can beat them... themselves. Nothing will destroy a team quicker than internal conflict. It's obvious that there is no "team" and everyone is just playing for themselves. Onlookers simply shake their head and lament about what could have been.
That is much the way government seems these days. There are some
genuinely good people trying to do the right things, but we allow conflict to drive a division between us until nothing gets accomplished.
It is a true honor to serve the 120th district, and every day I attempt to bring a firm, but sensible and reasonable, voice to the legislature and I respectfully work with all sides for
collaboration when possible. |

Politician... or Public Servant?
A politician loves political games; but a public servant loves serving.
Which would you rather have as your elected official? A good leader will understand when it may be necessary to compromise, but will never negotiate against their integrity or the true voice of the people they represent. In the time I have spent in public service, I have learned that all decisions come down to two things, policy or ethics.
If it is strictly a policy issue, I believe my vote
should be the collective voice of the majority of the people of the 120th District.
However, if it is an ethical issue dealing with morals and values, I cannot compromise my
principles and Christian beliefs. It is written that one day I will give an account of myself before God. It will not be a perfect account, and for that I'm thankful for His forgiveness and redeeming grace. I'm human and I will make mistakes, but I will always pray for wisdom and guidance. |
